European Wrist Arthroscopy Society has established the EWAS JUNIOR GRANT
The grant should be awarded to a surgeon wanting to learn more about wrist surgery and wrist arthroscopy. The grant, should be used for travelling to learn from a senior, to develop new ideas, or to perform studies within the field of wrist arthroscopy.
The volume of this grant will be 2000€ at its first edition but may be adapted upon decision of the council and financial situation of the society.
Candidate applications should be received through EWAS web site before October 1st. They should include a short CV focused on their interests in arthroscopy, a short text (around 150 words) summarizing why they should receive this grant, and 2 letters of recommendation signed by EWAS members.
The decision will be taken by the EWAS Council at the regular board meeting in November. The winner(s) will be notified, and their name(-s) will be presented at the next FESSH meeting.
In the immediate next FESSH meeting the winner(s) will deliver a 5 minutes report on their experience and achievements during the EWAS symposium. A certificate will be given and their name will stand in EWAS archives.
In principle the grant will be given every year, and is single, but the deliverance rate and number of grants may vary depending on funding conditions.
